Part of the hosting/infrastructure team within the client services department, where we offer the hosting and management of the company’s software solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities included: » Server and infrastructure provisioning, deployment, management, securing and monitoring for internal systems for clients hosted by us. » Documenting and improving the hosting processes and procedures for our products and services as well as auditing systems for drifts from our conventions so we can maintain high levels of services. » Testing and assessing new software systems or framework to advise on new team and business requirements. In addition, working with the product and development team to put in place infrastructure and processes to ensure highly reliable infrastructure. Achievements: » Migrated internal hypervisor infrastructure from Xen to Proxmox to gain stability and modernise » Designed and documented processes and procedures including upgrades and disaster recovery to maintain high levels of quality and standardisation » Put in place backup mechanisms to be able to perform disaster recovery in a timely manner and comply with our SLAs » Designed architectures to achieve highly available systems » Configured our monitoring solution to fit our needs Technology stack: » Internal servers running on Proxmox virtual environment » Xen 6.5 was migrated to Proxmox » Docker cluster » Hosted servers on AWS and bare-mental (Hetzner) » Windows: IIS, MSSQL servers, SSRS, SSAS » Linux: Ubuntu, Centos, Debian » Windows FTPs and sFTP servers » Some of our internal Linux services » Apache/Nginx, Bind9 migrated to Technitium, fail2ban, iptables » Storage server » FreeNas, Software based RAIDs (Linux) » Network and Resource monitoring » Zabbix, Elastic stack, Bash and Python scripts » Hosting framework (Configuration Management) » Powershell/DSC, Ansible » Google API console management » Managing API keys for clients requirements » Working with sales to maintaining and keep demo system to date |
